Where does time go? Mazatlan, I suspect. I’ve been lax in posting. Pretty much from the beginning, but certainly in the past month. I have excuses, lots and lots of them. One is that I seem to be regressing, technologically speaking. I used to be fearless and fierce when it came to things like this site. Like Lego: put it together, play with it, move pieces around, play some more.
Who knows what happened. I suspect it all began with the sledgehammer-like sleep deprivation that comes with babies…
Anyway. Things might be looking up. I just got an iPhone. I’m a Mac girl; I’ve wanted an iPhone from the beginning. I’m also a Verizon girl, which meant I had to wait. But I didn’t get the phone because Verizon finally has them; I got it because I put my iPod Touch through the wash. Yup. A word to the curious and experimental out there: iPods do not survive a jaunt through the Regular cycle. Maybe next time I’ll try Delicate. Maybe not.
Another word: Warranties do not cover craven stupidity.
So, I could probably live without a phone, at least for a little while. There’s email, after all, and I have Google Chat and Video Skype. I would miss a phone, but I could live without it, at least for a little while. Not so my iPod. I need quick ‘n easy access to my music.
Yeah, this was all a lead-up into talking about music. Again. I do have tales to tell about my iPhone learning curve and some of the slapstick that has ensued (someone remind me not to forget to tell the story of my Vaudevillian text encounter with a very cute singing boy in Oregon). And my ringtone escapades are perhaps worth a mention or two. But I am extrememly proficient at making my new phone play music. And I’m gonna fade out here with the winner of the last playlist contest and a couple of honorable mentions…
