Thought it might be fun to do this periodically: post a photo and let someone else write the caption. Email your responses to melissa@melissajensen.com. I’ll hand them over to my panel of expert judges (this time it’s mostly Himself’s family), who will select a winner. In case you are a familiar face or name, I’ll pass on all entries to the judges without identifying characteristics. Keeps things both open and fair. The winner will get a prize of some small, inexpensive, appealing-even-if-only-to-me type which I will post from here in Dublin.
Rules: 1. Be polite or, if you absolutely must be naughty, do it with polite intent. Mrs Senior Himself has a sharp wit but she is, always, a lady. 2. Send no more than 5 captions per photo in an email with “Caption Contest” written in the subject line. 3. Understand that by responding, you acknowledge that I cannot be held responsible for the post office at either end losing, ruining, or taking a dislike to the prize. If it reaches you, yay. If not, I’m really sorry. 4. US, Canada, Ireland, and UK only.
I will notify the winner by email. I will post the winning caption here on the blog.
So… Here’s the first pic. Winner gets some version of what the image is advertising. But try to resist researching. I can’t help thinking that the less you actually know about it, the better your caption(s) will be. Deadline is October 12th.
